Snow Causes Accidents in Northwest Hills

NORTH CANAN, Conn. (WTIC) - Snow made roads slippery in the Northwest Corner today.

Residents and travelers in the Northwest hills of Connecticut had a taste of winter when a powerful storm turned downpours into snowfall. Rain changed over to snow late in the afternoon, causing numerous accidents, according to State Police Troop B in North Canaan. The DOT took to twitter to warn drivers that Route 63 between Route 4 and Route 43 was closed because of a motor vehicle accident.  State Police said Route 4 was also shut down between Bunker Hill Road and Cemetery Hill Road because of the hazardous driving conditions.
