(Hartford, Conn./WTIC) - The state has passed a major threshold when it comes to COVID-19 tests.
Over one million tests for the virus have been administered.
Governor Lamont says that number has helped Connecticut maintain one of the lowest COVID-19 positivity rates in the nation.
Lamont cites new and innovative testing procedures for those who need to be tested, either because they have symptoms or because they came in contact with someone who was positive, adding that a quarter-billion dollars from the Coronavirus Relief Fund has gone toward testing.
The state has also released the latest figures on the virus here: one additional death and 59 new cases.
Hospitalizations were up two to 49 total, while the positivity rate remains below one percent.
