OLD SAYBROOK, Conn. (WTIC Radio) - State police have identified the pedestrian who was struck and killed on Interstate 95 in Old Saybrook early Tuesday morning.
Richard Dupre Jr., 51, of Killingworth was struck by a Jeep Cherokee shortly before 12:30 a.m., said police. Troopers say Dupre was in the right center of four lanes between Exits 70 and 69.
Dupre was pronounced dead at the scene. No one in the SUV was injured.
State police continue to investigate the crash.
