EAST HARTFORD, Conn. (WTIC) - Police are investigating the cause of a multi-vehicle crash in East Hartford that has Route 15 Southbound closed on the Charter Oak Bridge.
Officials report at least one person has suffered serious injuries while at least three others were transported to area hospitals for minor injuries and evaluation. The wreck occurred at 2:18 Monday afternoon and four vehicles were involved - including a vehicle rollover.
According to police, the wreck occurred when one vehicle rear-ended another car, causing that car to strike the back of a third vehicle. That third vehicle was then pushed forward and side-swiped a fourth car.
This is an ongoing investigation and more details will be provided as they become available.
