(Hartford, Conn./WTIC) - Snow is expected to begin overspreading the area later this afternoon and evening.
A winter weather advisory is up for the area.
In some parts of Litchfield County a winter storm warning has been posted.
Anywhere from three-to-six inches of snow is expected to fall before the quick moving storm winds up sometime around midnight.
Most local cities and towns have put parking bans in place in anticipation of the storm. In Hartford, a ban goes into effect at 6:00 p.m.
AAA says they expect an uptick in service calls as the road conditions deteriorate.
