Suspect Sought In Hamden Child Recording Incident

(Hamden, Conn./WTIC) - Police in Hamden are investigating after they say a man allegeldy recorded a child in a store restroom.

Investigators say the incident took place late last month at a TJ Maxx store on Dixwell Avenue.

According to police, the ten-year-old boy had been shopping with a guardian when he entered a stall in the restroom.

That's when the suspect asked the child if he was "okay" and began recording him on a cell phone.

The child quickly exited the restroom and reported the suspicious activity to the guardian, who tried to detain the suspect, to no avail.

Police continue to search for a white male between 18-and-20 years of age with black hair who was wearing a blue jacket, yellow shirt and jeans at the time.
