(WOLCOTT,Conn./WTIC)- Wolcott Police have arrested a Physical Education teacher at Wolcott High School on Sexual Assault and other charges following a complaint from a student last May.At that time 49 year old Michael Forgione of Plantsville was suspended with pay and was not to have contact with students while an investigation was conducted.Wolcott Police completed their investigation and sent the case to the Waterbury States Attorneys Office for review.Probable Cause was determined an an arrest warrant was granted.
Once notified of the warrant by his attorney, Forgione turned himself in to Wolcott Police Thursday afternoon.He is charged with Sexual Assault in the 4th Degree, Risk of Injury to a Minor and Breach of Peace.
Foregione was released on $10,000 court set bond.He is due in Waterbury Superior Court September 12.
