
WATERFORD, Conn. (WTIC Radio) - Waterford police are investigating the source of THC-laced gummy candies that ended up in the trick-or-treat hauls of two children in Waterford Thursday night.Police say the children obtained the candy in the area of Gallup Lane, though they could not determine the exact address. No one ingested the candies and no injuries have been reported, said police.It's unclear if the candy was intentionally handed out. Police say sale of candies containing THC, the psychoactive ingredient in marijuana, is not legal in Connecticut, even to those authorized to use marijuana for medical purposes.Anyone with information on the case is urged to contact Waterford police at 860-442-9451.
