PLAINFIELD, CT (WTIC Radio) Plainfield Police receiving at least 10 calls to 9-1-1 for what sounded like gunshots or explosions on January 23, 2019.
Some witnesses were able to describe a suspicious vehicle near where the exposion-noises sounded.
Authoities found a car that matched the description, parked at a nearby Gulf Gas Station.
A search of the car found that the occupants were allegedly in possession of high-powered, porjectile fireworks which are considered explosives. 43-grams of marijuana was packaged for sale.
The occupants admitted to lighting off the fireworks in various areas of town.
Police arrested 19-year-old Jacob Rampulla of Plainfield. He has been charged with Breach of Peace, Use and Possession of Fireworks, and Possession of Marijuana with intent to sell.
20-year-old Jamie Brodeur of Dayville was arrested along with a juvenile, both charged with Breach of Peace.
