HADDAM, Conn. (WTIC Radio) - Three people are recovering from injuries sustained in a deck collapse in Haddam Monday night.
Firefighters say five people were on the third-story deck at a home on Little Meadow Road, when it gave way shortly after 8 p.m. They fell about 15 feet, said authorities.
A woman and a man were taken to Hartford Hospital. Another man went to Middlesex Hospital. All three were alert, said firefighters.
A mother and her toddler son also fell, but were not injured.
The Haddam building inspector is investigating.
