EAST HADDAM, Conn. (WTIC Radio) - Education officials in East Haddam say three local high school students have been arrested for allegedly taking inappropriate photos of classmates.

Authorities say the three male students took up-skirt photos of female classmates in the classroom at Nathan Hale-Ray High School. The photos were secretive and non-consensual, according to a letter from Superintendent Brian Reas that was sent to parents, guardians and staff Thursday.

Reas says the three students have now been arrested. Counseling services are being offered to any students who feel they were victimized, he said.

"This type of alleged activity is illegal, intolerable, and offensive, and we have a zero-tolerance policy against any such behavior," Reas wrote.
