NEW CANAAN, Conn. (WTIC Radio) - A toddler is dead after being struck by a vehicle in New Canaan Tuesday morning.The nearly two-year-old boy was struck at a home on North Wilton Road shortly after 8:30 a.m., said police.The child was taken to Norwalk Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries, said police."We ask that the entire New Canaan community put this child and the child’s family in their thoughts and prayers," said a statement from police.The incident is under investigation by the New Canaan Police Accident Reconstruction Team as well as members of the Wilton and Darien Police Department Accident Reconstruction Teams.
