HARTFORD, Conn. (WTIC Radio)_ Hartford Police have arrested the operator of a tractor-trailer that struck and killed a pedestrian in February.
45-year-old Benjamin Andrade of East Hartford was taken into custody on Thursay and was charged with misconduct with a motor vehicle, operation of a commecial motor vehicle without a commercial driver's license, operating with extended width and length, and failure to obey a traffic signal.
Andrade is accused of driving the truck that struck 77-year-old pedestrian Carl Loven around 4 p.m. on Febraury 21, 2019. The incident happened at the intersection of High Street and Walnut Street.
He is being held on a judge-set $175,000 bond.
