(Putnam, Conn./WTIC) - Putnam Police say a teenaged bicyclist was injured after a collision with a motor vehicle Tuesday evening.
It was around 7:30 when police, fire and EMS personnel were dispatched to the scene at Woodstock Avenue and Van Den Noort Street.
A preliminary investigation determined the biker and the vehicle collided on Woodstock Avenue.
The teen was rushed to Day Kimball Hospital, later transported to UMass Medical Center with what were determined to be life threatening injuries.
The vehicle's operator was not injured.
No charges have been filed but the investigation is ongoing.
Woodstock Avenue was closed for several hours.
