
WESTPORT, Conn. (WTIC Radio) - Westport police are investigating the crash of a school bus that was carrying elementary school students Friday morning.Police say the bus hit a traffic sign, stone wall and tree after, the vehicle went off the road at the intersection of Sylvan Road North and Orchard Hill Road shortly after 8 a.m.The bus driver was extricated from the bus and taken to the hospital. Her injuries are described as non-life threatening.Police say injuries to students were minor and none required transport to the hospital. Good Samaritans helped removed students from the bus, said firefighters.Police continue to investigate the cause of the crash.
