(Westport, Conn./WTIC) - Westport police are releasing more details on a heist Friday that netted the crooks thousands of dollars worth of fur coats.
Officers say the day before, the suspects in the theft at Albe Furs were likely in another nearby business inquiring about fur coats. Nothing was taken, however.
Police also say the license plate on the getaway vehicle had been reported stolen in New York.
It was just before 11:30 a.m. when police were called Albe Furs on a report of a theft in progress.
They say two or more coats valued at over $11,000 were swiped before the three suspects fled in a waiting vehicle.
Police are now looking for a black Jeep with rear damage on the drivers side.
