(Windham, Conn./WTIC) - State Police are charging a Wethersfield woman in connection with a fatal overdose in Windham.

Troopers say on October 4, 2017, they received a report of an unresponsive 49-year-old man with a hyodermic needle in his hand in an apartment on Plains Road.

He was pronounced dead on scene from an apparent overdose.

The medial examiner says the victim died from acute heroin and cocaine intoxication.

Now under arrest is 38-year-old Teresa Ann Deriso.

Investigators say Deriso provided the victim with the drugs and also used them herself.

She allegedly injected the victim because the man could not do it himself.

Deriso now faces charges of manslaughter, possession, and administration of a narcotic to a non-drug dependent person.
