PLAINFIELD, Conn. (WTIC Radio)_ An elderly woman dies in an early morning Plainfield fire.
Two occupants were inside the house at the time of the fire on Charlotte Drive in the Wauregan section of Plainfield around 3:30 in the morning Tuesday.
A 75-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene after emergency responders found her unconcious and unresponsive on the floor.
A 51-year-old man refused treatment for several burns.
The Plainfield Fire Marshall's Office is investigating the cause of the fire with the State Police Fire Investigation and Explosion Unit.
