NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTIC Radio)_ Yale New Haven Hospital partially evacuated due to a possible Hazmat situation.
A man allegedly entered the Hospital with a towel he claimed was soaked in chemicals. Several people came in contact with it, while he shouted "chemical warfare."
Roughly 35 people were evacuated.
A heavy police presence closed Howard Avenue at York Street around 10:40 p.m. for an investigation at the hospital.
About an hour later, police confirmed the threat was isolated and that there were no injuries. It's not clear if a suspect has been taken into custody.
Howard Avenue and York Street re-opened overnight.
