
(Norwalk, Conn./WTIC) - Norwalk police, with an assist from authorities in Maine, have cracked a decades old murder case.
According to Norwalk detectives, the Major Crimes Unit of the Maine State Police picked up 53-year-old Marc Karun Wednesday as he left his home in the town of Stetson.
Officers say he is responsible for the sexual assault and murder of Kathleen Flynn on September 23, 1986.
Police were in Bangor, Maine to execute an arrest warrant for Karun on charges of murder and sexual assault.
Karun is currently being held in the Penobscot County jail pending his extradition back to Connecticut.
