Police: Murder Defendant Sent Messages From Victim's Phone

WINDSOR LOCKS, Conn. (AP) — Police say a Windsor Locks man arrested on a murder charge sent messages from the victim's phone to make it appear as though he were still alive.

Quahzier Bouie and his girlfriend, Jessica Keene, each has been charged in the slaying of Keene's father, 51-year-old Michael Keene, whose body was found stuffed in a container in their apartment in November.

The Journal Inquirer reports that Jessica Keene messaged her father's phone several days after he went missing to report she had delivered a baby. A police affidavit says Bouie wrote a message back on Michael Keene's phone saying "Love you, but I'm never coming back."

Bouie was arraigned Monday on charges including murder and tampering with evidence and a judge kept his bond at $2 million.
