NAUGATUCK, Conn. (WTIC) - Police across Connecticut are reminding motorists to remove ice and snow from their vehicles before hitting the road.
Even at slower speeds, the accumulation on vehicles can become dangerous "ice missiles," according to Naugatuck Police Captain Bryan Cammarata. "It's particularly important today because now the sun is out, it is thawing very quick, the temperatures are rising, and it's all that much more important to make sure that any ice or snow on your car is removed before you drive."
Motorists who fail to heed that advice could be hit with a $120 fine.
