HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) - Democratic members of the Connecticut Senate say they're planning to push this session to make it easier for people to vote early. Appearing with her colleagues, Danielson Sen. Mae Flexer said Tuesday that she has been asked frequently by voters about why Connecticut does not allow people to cast their ballots before Election Day, as in other states.  Unlike other states where a law needs to be enacted, Connecticut's state constitution must be amended in order to make such a change. A bill unveiled Tuesday would ultimately place a question before the voters as to whether the constitution should be revised to allow early in-person voting. Numerous early voting-related bills have been proposed this year, including proposals to change the constitution so people can vote by absentee for any reason.
