(Groton, Conn./WTIC) - A sailor stationed at the sub base in Groton is facing sexual assault charges.

Chazzman Chung is charged.

State Police say they were notified last December that a parent reported Chung picked up the juvenile in Griswold for sex at the federal miliatary installation in Groton.

Investigators say Chung picked up the juvenile through the "Grindr" social media app.

Troopers say Chung admitted to the assault, after which they say he told them he brought the youngster back home to Griswold.

Because the alleged crime took place on a federal installation, the Naval Crime Investigative Services--NCIS--is conducting a separate probe.

Chung is free on $100,000 bond and due back in court in Norwich April 18.
