Severe Weather Moving Through Parts of Connecticut

HARTFORD, Conn. (WTIC) – Severe weather is expected for parts of Connecticut Saturday afternoon into the evening.

A severe thunderstorm warning has been issued for Hartford, Tolland, Windham and Litchfield counties, as Fairfield County has also experienced a severe thunderstorm warning as well (that warning expired at 4:15 p.m.).

Thunderstorms are expected through the evening, as flash flooding and damaging winds are likely as well.

Windsor Locks and Thompsonville are under a flash flood warning until 7 p.m., as officials urge motorists to avoid driving through high waters on roads.
