SHELTON, Conn. (AP) - A Connecticut mayor says multiple staff members are under investigation at a local high school, including the principal who has beenplaced on paid administrative leave. Shelton Mayor Mark Lauretti said Monday the investigation stems from an incident involving two students at Shelton High School last week. Officials have not said what incident took place or what police are investigating. The school system's website says Headmaster Beth Smith will remain on leave ``until further notice.'' The district says Smith has not been arrested, and she remains the only person on leave. School officials have declined to comment further. Shelton police have also declined to comment on the investigation. Assistant Principal John Skerritt is serving as acting principal.
