(Hartford, Conn./WTIC) - Democrats in the state House and Senate today laid out their top priorities for the 2019 session.
They include a 15-dollar an hour minimum wage, paid family medical leave, a green new deal for the state focusing on energy efficiency, and early voting, among other things.
The lawmakers say they think each item is doable.
Proponents say the key is being both business and worker friendly.
On the issue of paid family medical leave, leaders say they're eyeing a plan that calls for 12 weeks fully fund by the employee at one-half of one percent of that person's pay.
