DURHAM, Conn. (WTIC) – State Police have made an arrest after an employee was escorted off the property of Durham Manufacturing for making statements about harming other workers.

Jeffrey Wilson, of Meriden, was terminated shortly afterward, but left the premises prior to the Troopers arrival.

Reports from two witnesses indicated that the 46-year old had gotten upset at work and made generalized statements about shooting fellow employees at the company.

Nearby schools were contacted and while patrol Troopers were investigating the disturbance at Durham Manufacturing, a shelter in place was directed as a precaution.

Wilson was later located at his residence in Meriden and was taken into custody without incident.  A weapons check showed no weapons registered to the accused and he cooperated with the investigation – later admitting to making those statements, but indicated he had no intent cause to harm anyone.

He was arrested and charged with Breach of Peace (2nd Degree).  Wilson is scheduled to appear in court in Middletown later this month, March 28th.
