Stratford, Conn. (WTIC) – A Bridgeport man has been arrested after leading police on a car chase through Stratford Avenue near Honeyspot Road and ending on Bruce Avenue.
Eris Hall, 22-years old, led police on a chase at 9:36 p.m. Tuesday after refusing to stop for officers. During his attempt to flee he threw a firearm out of the window of his vehicle. Police say Hall unloaded and dismantled the weapon prior to discarding it.
Officers investigating the incident later recovered the weapon, ammunition and high capacity magazine.
Hall was charged with a myriad of offenses including:
Carry a Pistol Without a Permit, Weapon in a Motor Vehicle, Illegal Possession Of A High Capacity Magazine, Tampering With Evidence, Reckless Driving, Engaging Police In Pursuit, Operating A Motor Vehicle Without A License and Failure To Have Tail Lamps
He posted a $25,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court later next month on April 4th.
