(New Britain, Conn./WTIC) - New Britain police have released more information regarding the fatal shooting of a woman in the city this week.

The suspect, 42-year-old Benjamin Morales, remains at large.

He's charged in the Monday killing of 27-year-old Alice Marie Figueroa in a home on Elam Street.

Now, police are charging two relatives of Benjamin Morales and another person alleged to have provided him aid and assistance.

They say 18-year-old Odalys Morales is charged with interfering and 48-year-old Ramon Morales is charged with hindering prosecution.

Bonds were set at $100,000 and $250,000, respectively.

The latest arrest was made Friday afternoon when members of the Putnam Police Department, New Britain Police Department and CT State Police served an arrest warrant for 29-year old Sharod Pipkin.

While serving the warrant for Pipkin, who is a Putnam resident, he attempted to flee, but was apprehended without incident after a brief foot pursuit.

A search revealed Pipkin had been in possession of a small amount of marijuana.  Additionally, the vehicle he was observed operating contained handgun ammunition.

Pipkin is a convicted felon, therefore he is prohibited by law from possessing ammunition in Connecticut.

He was charged with Hindering Prosecution, Interfering with an Officer, Criminal Possession of Ammunition and Possession of Marijuana (less than 1/2 ounce).  His bond was set at $200,000.

Meanwhile, a woman who'd been in Benjamin Morales' company, Virgen Figueroa is safe, say police.

On another front, police say Benjamin Morales may be driving a red Subaru Forester.

The vehicle isn't registered and police say he may be driving with a misused plate, possibly in the Hartford area in the south end.
