(Westport, Conn./WTIC) - Police and fire officials in Westport were called to investigate a suspicous package this morning in town.
Around 8:30, police say they received a call of a package emitting a foul odor on Riverside Avenue.
They say the package was received on Monday but not opened until this morning.
No one was injured.
The Stamford Bomb Squad was called to the scene and later determined the package didn't contain any explosive material.
Westport police and U.S. postal inspectors continue to investigate.
