EAST HARTFORD, Conn. (WTIC and AP) - State police say three tractor trailers and a school bus have been involved in a fatal crash on Interstate 84 in East Hartford.
Two people died in the early morning wreck, state police said at a news conference this morning.
The school bus was not carrying any children at the time of the crash in the westbound lanes shortly after 5 a.m.
One of the tractor-trailers burst into flames after the crash.
The state Department of Transportation closed the highway between Exits 55 and 56 after the crash.
State troopers say that stretch of I-84 is expected to be closed for several hours.
