(Seymour, Conn./WTIC) - One Seymour High School student fell ill this morning in what the principal says was an incident involving a vape pen.

In a letter posted to Facebook, Principal Jim Freund says around 8:30 this morning, the Central Office was contacted that police and EMS were on scene.

The student who was sickened and several others were taken for medical evaluation, says Freund.

The principal says a police dog was brought to campus to ensure there weren't any illegal substances and none were found.

Schools Superintendent Michael Wilson says the incident is now the subject of a police investigation.
