
(Hartford, Conn./WTIC) - Beginning today, Connecticut residents over the age of 75 can make an appointment to receive a COVID-19 vaccine.
In addition, Governor Lamont says so-called phase 1b of the rollout will soon include those aged 65 to 74, as well as citizens aged 16 to 64 with underlying health conditions.
Lamont is directing the state Department of Public Health to begin prioritizing for those aged 75 and older in that first wave.
Some 1.3 million residents will be eligible for the shot under phase 1b.
The state expects to receive 46,000 shots per week of first doses.
Residents will be required make an appointment beforehand.
