(Waterbury, Conn./WTIC) - Police have made in arrest in a homicide from last summer in Waterbury.
They say 32-year-old Jonathan Poventud was located in Florida and extradited back to the Brass City.
Poventud had been wanted in the August 22, 2020 shooting death of 46-year-old Marcus Darby of Waterbury.
It was just after midnight officers were called to 12 Violet Street on a report that someone had been shot.
Darby was found unresponsive with a gunshot wound to the chest and later died at St. Mary's Hospital.
Poventud now faces a number of charges including murder, reckless endangerment, illegal discharge of a firearam and criminal use of a weapon, among others.
He also had an outstanding warrant for a probation violation.
Poventud's bond was set at $2.5 million.
