HARTFORD, Connecticut (WTIC radio)
Connecticut residents are bracing for possibly the coldest weather yet of the season--and its still not officially winter.
Forecasters with the National Weather Service say bitter cold air sweeping down from the Midwest will barrel into the Northeast dropping temperatures into the lower teens Sunday night and into early next week. In some locations in Connecticut, the temperature could drop to single digits.
There is a silver lining--forecasters say milder weather should move into the region later in the week, with the thermometer hitting close to 50 degrees.
