A major expansion is all set for the Real Art Ways center beginning next year.
Officials telling the Hartford Courant the expansion will include movie theaters, a cafe, performing arts, more space for educational programs and more.
The arts center has been a major attraction in the city's Parkville community for more than thirty years.
Construction is scheduled to begin in February and is estimated to cost roughly seven million dollars mostly made up from donations.
The project is expected to take about a year, with the expansion calling for a major addition that will increase the size of the arts venue by 50 percent.
