GRANBY, Connecticut (WTIC radio)
A Black bear was struck and killed by a car in Granby. Police say it happened around 2pm Friday.
A spokesperson for the state Department of Energy and Environmental Protection saying it happened between Hartland and Higley roads. Workers with the departments Wildlife Division later recovered the bear reported to weighed 170 pounds.
Investigators say the car which struck the bear did not stop.
