In confirming that crews have recovered the bodies of two teenagers who went missing in the Farmington River, Capt. Keith Williams of the CT State Environmental Conservation Police (EnCon) warned the public to stay out of Connecticut's waterways. He says the dangerous conditions that may have cost the teens their lives persist.

"The water level is probably six or seven times higher than it normally would be this time of year," says Williams. "It is very dangerous to be out there. So, we're asking everybody... please stay off the water."

Those conditions had complicated the search for Anthony Nagore, 17, of Plainville, and Lucas Brewer, 15. The water search had to be suspended several times because the strong current was considered too dangerous for divers.

On a scorching afternoon last Thursday, July 15th, the boys went for a swim in the river in Avon and weren't seen again until their bodies were found on Monday in Unionville, more than a mile downstream.
