Hours after police in South Windsor found the body of a local woman, her husband was arrested and charged with manslaughter, a charge that could be upgraded.
Jessica Edwards, 30, had been missing since Mon., May 10th. South Windsor police spokesman Sgt. Mark Cleverdon says her remains were found Friday afternoon in the woods at Hockanum River Linear Park in East Hartford. He adds that police were led to the site by "location data."
Friday night, police announced the arrest of Edwards' husband, Tahj Hutchinson, in connection with her death. At the time of initial missing persons report, Hutchinson told police he last saw his wife leaving their South Windsor condo the morning of May 10th, getting into a vehicle with an unknown person. Cleverdon says police now believe that story is false.
Hutchinson is charged with manslaughter, but police say additional charges could be added.

A cause of death will be released pending results of an autopsy. Cleverdon says the body was found significantly decomposed.
Edwards leaves a 7-month-old son. While police say the baby is safe, they couldn't say who exactly had custody as of Friday evening. Earlier, the child had been with grandparents.
Hutchinson was arrested Friday night at a relative's home on Fairview St. in Manchester.
