The conversation also touched on the Beach Boys' success, with their only No. 1 hit post-1966 being "Kokomo" in 1988. The team discussed various sports updates, including the Red Sox's win over the Rays, the Yankees' victory over the Royals, and the NBA Finals. They also highlighted the upcoming Family Fun Day at Masonicare, with Rev. Carl Anderson, Vice President of Fraternal Relations for Masonicare. Masonicare is the state’s largest nonprofit provider of senior care. The event will featuring carnival games, health screenings, and a parade. The event aims to provide information about their care services. Brian also discussed various local and national issues. In New Haven, protests against the Trump administration's immigration policies were held, with Mayor Justin Elliker criticizing the arrest of a mother in front of her children. President Trump's approval rating dropped to 38% in a Quinnipiac University poll, with 53% opposing his budget bill. Connecticut's new housing bill, criticized for its complexity and potential impact on local zoning, is under review by Governor Lamont. A pedestrian was seriously injured in Vernon, and an Air India plane crashed in India, potentially with survivors.
