(Hartford, Conn. WTIC) Hartford Mayor Luke Bronin says he's grateful for the $900-Billion Covid stimulus package passed by Congress,
but adds it should have been bigger.
Bronin says many businesses are hanging on and many are closed, because of Covid. Bronin says he's spoken with the Governor
and DECD Commissioner David Lehman about the need for help. " He says hopefully the aid make a difference with people. "We need
to keep giving a bridge to these businesses and people who will continue to struggle until we get this vaccine."
Bronin says the city recently released 800-thousand-dollars to help 180 businesses. He says another round will be distributed in the New Year.
Bronin also said Hartford schools will continue to operate under the Hybrid method coming out of the Christmas break. He says everyone
wants to resume in-person teaching as soon as possible.
He appeared on the WTIC morning show.
