(Hartford, Conn. WTIC/CBS) Appearing on the CBS program Face the Nation, Governor Ned Lamont said he wants transparency
from the Biden Administration on the amount of vaccines. Lamont says "that allows us to know what to expect next week
and next month so we can expand our infrastructure."
When asked if he'll push teachers in front of other essential workers in category 1b, Lamont responded: "It's complicated, we have police, manufacturing and day workers too. I have to be careful prioritizing, but certainly teachers are at the top of the list."
A published report showed in the age group 65 and older, 84 percent are white. The Governor was asked in race should be a factor in getting the covid shot. "We are making a big effort it's not just getting the worried well at our big drive thru vaccination centers. But also get our mobile vans, the churches, the housing complexes to get those people vaccinated who have to get vaccinated."
