HARTFORD, Conn. (WTIC Radio)-Connecticut restaurant owners are still facing many challenges evolving from COVID-19 restrictions, Scott Dolch of the Connecticut Restaurant Association said.
Food costs have increased as much as forty percent and finding paper goods provides a real test, Dolch said.
Many of the owners are digging out of 17 months of debt and are additionally challenged by a worker shortage, he said.
Dolch fears mandatory vaccines by municipalities, he said. It places the policing effort in the hands of restaurant staff, potentially upsetting customers, he explained.
He's also concerned that as the positivity numbers flatten, will municipalities hold the requirement longer, further harming businesses?
