Colin Powell, who died of COVID-19 Monday, leaves towering marks on American social justice, foreign policy and politics.

"He was a giant as an American," says Rob Sanders, Chair of the National Security program at the University of New Haven, "who loved his country and put his life where his love was."

Sanders, a retired captain in the U.S. Navy's JAG Corps who met Secretary Powell several times, spoke to WTIC's Dave Mager:
