Connecticut drivers will pay for NYC Congestion Pricing plan

NEW YORK, (WTIC RADIO) Connecticut drivers will be shelling out more money to commute into New York City. Congestion pricing going into affect Sunday. Drivers entering Manhattan below 60th street will pay $9 dollars to access Midtown Manhattan during peak hours.
The original plan called for a $15 dollar toll. The goal of the plan is to reduce Gridlock in midtown Manhattan, while also raising money for the MTA, primarily to invest billions of dollars to upgrade the subways.
The cost to drivers depends on what time of the day it is.
New Jersey's request for a temporary restraining order was denied by a federal judge on Friday.
Governor Phil Murphy plans to appeal the ruling.
