HARTFORD, Connecticut (WTIC radio)
The storm which brought heavy rain and severe storms to parts of the Southern U.S. is moving into the Northeast ,and could threaten to bring snow into Southern New England by Sunday night. The storm is expected to move northward from the North Carolina coast, but just how close it gets to Connecticut is still too early for forecasters to say. The southern Connecticut coast could see anywhere from a dusting to an inch of snow. however forecasters say higher amounts could fall in Southwestern Connecticut with possibly as much as three inches of snow on the ground before the storm pulls away early Monday morning.
