(West Hartford, Conn./WTIC) - Connecticut's COVID-19 positivity rate has nearly doubled since Friday.
At a briefing in West Hartford today, Governor Lamont announced the figure is now at 4.1-percent.
It had been at 2.2-percent as of late Monday afternoon.
While not totally unexpected, Lamont said the increase "wakes you up like a cold shower".
Lamont also noted that hospitalizations had increased by 22.
Additional figures are expected later today.
