GRANBY, Conn, (WTIC radio)

Connecticut police officers come to the aid of an owl left on the side of the road. Police officers are used to seeing almost anything but two officers in Granby may have been a bit taken aback when they stumbled upon a feathered friend in distress.
It appears an owl who came a little to close for comfort nearly being hit by a car on Saturday. Police say the owl appeared to be stunned by the incident and at first didn't or couldn't fly away--however the good news is the owl was able fly away. And it even better for the owl the officers were in the right place at the right time.
