Conn. (WTIC Radio) - While acknowledging that odd-year municipal elections don't draw voters like state and national campaigns, Connecticut's Secretary of the State Denise Merrill stresses the importance of a healthy turnout on Election Day 2021.

"I'm just hoping everybody comes out and votes," Merrill said. "It's so important for these local candidates who put themselves out there to help run your town."

Polls open at 6 a.m. Tuesday and close at 8 p.m. Those still waiting in line at 8 p.m. are entitled to vote.
